Crackdown of 5th May on Islamic People

On the issue of highest punishment of war criminal in 1971 some people started agitation on Shahabag demanding death penalty of Qader Molla and other accused, but this demonstration was diverted into anti-islamic movement by some atheists headed by Imran H. Sharkar. They attacked islam and Prophet (sm) from Shahabag under the organization named Gono Jagoron Monch. To protest this obnoxious  activities religious people united  and started demo to ensure punishment of atheist. By this way religious people gathered Shapla cottor on 5th May  to protest t this and decided to occupy road hole night on the banner of Hefazat E Islam headed by Allama Ahmad Shafi.  BD govt was seriously fear on their demo even govt thought they lost their power if they don't stop this protest. So govt took hard position to suppress them in dark of night. Law enforcer agencies run cruel operation as a result unidentified people were killed and injured. Aftermath govt felt relax but but seriously suffered religious people.

Abu Ala Maududi

 It is the largest Islamist party of  Bangladesh. Bangladesh Jamat-e-Islami  was founded in 1941 by Syed Abul Ala Maududi. Its activities covered Indian subcontinent. In 1970 they opposed the separation of East Pakistan(now Bangladesh) from West Pakistan and also helped the Pakistani army for torturing the people of East wing who wanted liberation. After the liberation Bangabondhu banned its politics but later Major Ziur Rahman recognized them to run its politics here. This party is economically more powerful in Bangladesh. Supporters of this party run Banks, Hospitals and educational institution etc. Now Jamaat joined BNP in alliance of 18 parties led by Begum Khaleda Zia. Recently the top leaders of this party are facing the war crimes trials most of them detained including Ameer and general secratry. The main leader is Matiur Rahman Nizami Who is in prison sell. Its so called student wing is CatroShibir.

VICTORY DAY OF BANGLADESH/16 DECEMBER

                           
           The long run liberation war was ended on 16th December,1970 formally. The Bangladeshi people celebrate this day as VICTORY DAY. In 1970 we were compelled to fight against Pakistani oppression. There was no way to raise our weapons on Pakistani army. It was started at the mid-night of  25 March this year. This bloody struggle lasted nine months. Uncountable people lost their lives and wealth. On this occasion we show our respects to the martyrs of liberation war who laid their lives for our existence as a independent nation in the earth. The 16th December is the government holiday, all the government and non-government offices,factories and institutes are closed.The main celebrating ceremony held at national memorial at Savar.
